What's happening in the Highlands: * As part of the City Neighborhood Connections program, the Highlands neighborhood will receive $25,000 for projects in 2003. Neighbors submitted requests in November; ballots will be mailed in January. Be sure to read your ballot carefully, and vote for your top priority projects. Some projects will require volunteer labor to keep costs down - if we don't get enough volunteers the project may not be able to happen. Questions? Teresa Muro, HNA president, 889-0405; Kari Page, City of Kirkland Neighborhood Services Coordinator, 828-7973. Get on the email list to find out the ballot results, or come to the March meeting. * We need ideas for a neighborhood float for this year's 4th of July parade! Are there any issues or topics you'd be interested in hearing about, such as neighborhood history or interesting people who live in our midst? Send suggestions or information to Teresa.
