Highlands neighborhood news: * As part of the City Neighborhood Connections program, the Highlands neighborhood will receive $25,000 for projects in 2003. Neighbors submitted requests in November; ballots will be mailed in January. Be sure to read your ballot carefully, and vote for your top priority projects. Questions? Teresa Muro, HNA president, 889-0405; Kari Page, City of Kirkland Neighborhood Services Coordinator, 828-7973. * Debbie Ohman is organizing our first neighborhood food drive on Jan. 25. Local food banks are low on food this year. Food, checks, and cash will be collected at three "drive by" stations at the neighborhood entrances. Volunteers are needed to post flyers, make signs, and help collect food. Contact Debbie for more info. * To get on the Highlands Neighborhood email list, contact Teresa.
