There are some odd jobs that need doing around the neighborhood. Any help is really appreciated! (Do your teens need volunteer hours?)
One time tasks:
* Install new corkboard in two kiosks (I have the corkboard and can help - I think it's a two person job)
* Fix the split rail fence at the south entrance to Cotton Hill Park (loosen one post so the loose top rail can be reinserted)
Ongoing tasks - volunteer once or multiple times - your choice!
* Watering the new plants in Cotton Hill Park - this is a perfect job for someone who is interested in learning more about native plants! There is a year round stream in the park, and we have a cart for easily rolling buckets of water from the spring to the plants. The plants will die without our help.
* Watering 112th plants - several plants still need to be adopted so they won't die when it gets hot this summer - each plant needs about 1/2 a gallon of water once a week
* Weedeating 112th landscaped area - if we weedeat once in a while, we'll prevent the scotch broom and blackberry from growing back
* Mow or weedeat around the trees on the corner of 116th Ave NE and NE 87th
Thank you so much for any help you can give!
