To make room for more play and meet growing demand,the tennis courts at Peter Kirk Park will temporarily close beginning Monday, April 13, 2026for conversion to six dedicated pickleball courts. This upgrade will expand access to one of Kirkland’s fastest-growing sports, creating more opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels to stay active and connect with others.
During construction, crews will install new court layouts, fencing, and amenities, followed by resurfacing and final touches. The project is expected to be complete by early June 2026, weather permitting.
We appreciate your patience during this temporary closure and look forward to opening new pickleball courts where all community members are welcome to gather, compete, and play.
